A Justicar Jhee Mystery
I haven’t tackled the novella yet. Though, I did some prep work for the read through scene listing. The systematic edit on the Parahuman is proceeding albeit slowly.
Most of the suggestions the developmental editor made have been incorporated. As previously mentioned, most were simple. A conversation here or a motivation there was confusing or unclear. That sort of thing. There are still a few changes I’m mulling over because of the amount of work involved.
Also, I submitted a design brief to the cover designers. They should have something done for me by next weekend.
Blurb:
“Justicar Jhee and the Cursed Abbey” is the story of Jhee, investigative judge and new head of a polygamous household, from the Far Reaches of the empire of the Blessed Isles. Justicar Jhee must unravel the secrets which led to four deaths at a remote abbey before the same fate befalls her family.
Meanwhile, I’m still working on Book 2. Triaging has begun. Sort of. Most of the scenes still have some major missing pieces, so more of the story than not is on the triage list. Once that’s done, I want to get this one off for a developmental edit sooner rather than later. Afterwards, I’ll either ramp up work on Book 3 or work on the prequel novella.
For the first day of July Camp NaNoWriMo, I finished the conceptual synopsis. Since then, I’ve worked on typing the scenes in again in the proper order. So far, it’s going all right. Although, retyping is going much slower than I’d like. My goal is to have the retyping done by the end of the month. At this rate, it may take until almost the end of August.
Have a lovely day!
