A Justicar Jhee Mystery
It’s Thanksgiving week and more work on the the fantasy mystery series.
I actually managed to squeeze in a little editing on this. Random excerpt:
“The high spire and the high bluffs. So many dangerous heights on this isle.”
Two random excerpts:
“Nothing terribly mysterious about this cause of death, Justicar. Good old fashioned projectiles to the chest. Tangible objects fired from a traditional firearm and not mind bullets.”
1st draft of Book 3
55,558 / 72,000 words. 77% done!
Yep, the working title, while it may have been appropriate when I conceived this book, has become almost completely irrelevant to the story that has developed. Nothing and no one in particular is missing and the Maguffin barely makes an appearance. This book feels less like a mystery and more like a political intrigue. I caught up the errant plot thread from last week and wove it back into the main narrative. Now its serving as motivation for a character’s unusual behavior.
Happy Thanksgiving and have a lovely day!
